Ostracods from the Emuha Section of Devonian-Carboniferous Transitional in Western Junggar

摘要: 为进一步丰富新疆西准噶尔地区泥盆纪-石炭纪(D-C)之交古生物地层资料,为研究区泥盆和石炭系划分、古环境重建提供新的证据,经野外采样、室内处理等工作,首次报道了西准噶尔俄姆哈地区D-C之交介形类9属12种(包括1新种):Cavellina sublatiovata, C.cf.obesa, C.sp., Glyptopleura sp., Healdianella renalata, H.sp., Bairdiocypris vafra, Bairdia sp., Rectobairdia sp., Fabalicypris sp., Youngiella calvata, Coelonella xizhunensis sp.nov..根据介形类生物地层,并参照共生的其他门类化石,认为西准噶尔俄姆哈剖面至少在第3层就进入了早石炭世,进一步证明了洪古勒楞组的时代应该是晚泥盆世-早石炭世.介形类的古生态研究表明,西准噶尔俄姆哈地区是火山岛弧区在火山间歇期的近岸浅水沉积环境.Abstract: To provide new evidences for the stratigraphic division of Devonian and Carboniferous as well as paleoenvironmental reconstruction of western Junggar, Xinjiang, NW China. The biostratigraphic data of Devonian-Carboniferous boundary (D-C) has been explored in this study by field sampling and laboratory analysis in western Junggar. 12 ostracod species (including 1 new species) from the Devonian-Carboniferous in the Emuha section of western Junggar are first described and presented. It is found that they belong to 9 genera, including Cavellina sublatiovata, C.cf. obesa, C. sp., Glyptopleura sp., Healdianella renalata, H. sp., Bairdiocypris vafra, Bairdia sp., Rectobairdia sp., Fabalicypris sp., Youngiella calvata, Coelonella xizhunensis sp. nov.. The stratigraphical distribution of ostracods in the Emuha section suggests that the Hongguleleng Formation should be Late Devonian to the Early Carboniferous in age. In terms of paleoecology, the retrieved ostracods indicate an off-shore environment during intermittent periods of volcanic activities in volcanic arc zone.

西准噶尔位于新疆西北部,是北疆-兴安地层大区北疆地层区的重要组成部分(蔡土赐,1999;纵瑞文等,2012).西准噶尔沙尔布尔提山地层小区上泥盆统及下石炭统发育良好,是研究泥盆系-石炭系界线地层划分对比的重要地区(宗普等,2012).其中所含丰富的各门类化石(牙形刺、腕足类、珊瑚、疑源类和植物等)为研究西准噶尔地区生物演化及古地理分区提供了重要材料(许汉奎等,1990;赵治信和王成源,1990).但以详细地层资料为基础的古生物学研究还较薄弱,使该区晚泥盆世和早石炭世地层的划分和对比存在较大争议(张梓歆,1985;王增吉和赵治信,1987;赵治信和王成源,1990;夏凤生,1996),古地理和古环境重建工作受到限制.
介形类是晚古生代主要无脊椎动物门类之一,在古生代地层的划分与对比、生物地理区划及沉积环境重建等方面有重要意义(王尚启,1995;Wang and McKenzie, 2000;王尚启和彭金兰,2005;Casier and Olempska, 2008;Olempska and Belka, 2010).西准噶尔地区晚泥盆世-早石炭世地层中含有较为丰富的介形类,在前人的相关文献中都有涉及(赵治信,1986;蒋显庭等,1995),但仅是提及有介形类,并未做系统的描述和研究.本文依据详实的地层资料,首次对研究区上泥盆统-下石炭统产出的介形类进行详细研究,这也是西准噶尔地区古生代地层中介形类的首次系统研究,其进一步丰富了研究区的古生物学材料.在此基础上,笔者对该区的地层划分与对比、古环境、古地理研究等提出新的认识.
1. 区域地质和剖面描述
新疆和布克赛尔蒙古自治县的沙尔布尔提山一带上泥盆统、下石炭统发育.其中,上泥盆统下部为陆相地层,称为朱鲁木特组(D3z);其上为洪古勒楞组(D3C1h),地层时代为晚泥盆世-早石炭世;之上为下石炭统黑山头组(C1h)(宗普等,2012).本文所研究的标本采自和布克赛尔蒙古自治县和什托洛盖镇附近的阿赫尔布拉克俄姆哈(简称俄姆哈)剖面(GPS点位为:46°46′00.56″N,86°16′07.51″E)(图 1).俄姆哈剖面是该研究区典型的泥盆系-石炭系连续剖面(许汉奎等,1990;宗普等,2012),具有重要的地层意义.
许汉奎等(1990)将俄姆哈剖面分为5层,第2层和第3层的界线作为泥盆系-石炭系界线,同时当作洪古勒楞组和黑山头组的界线.然而,笔者在按照前人分层位置,重新实测的过程中发现,第2和第3层岩性基本一致,不足以作为组的界线,故本文统称为洪古勒楞组;笔者同时发现,该剖面地层呈断片形式产出:即洪古勒楞组在中间,上、下为朱鲁木特组,均为断层接触.经过野外勘测和室内古生物学研究,本文暂将第1层和第2层的界线作为朱鲁木特组和洪古勒楞组的界线(图 2).实测剖面特征如下:

2. 介形类化石描述
2.1 样品处理及结果
笔者对俄姆哈剖面洪古勒楞组(第2~5层)进行连续采样,共采集样本14个,每个样本重约1 kg.回到实验室后,用“热酸解法”(Crasquin-Soleau and Kershaw, 2005;袁爱华等,2009)对样品进行提取处理.具体操作步骤如下:先将200 g样品碎成1 cm×1 cm×1 cm的小块,装入容积为500 mL的广口瓶中,在烘箱内烘干48 h左右;然后,向广口瓶中注入体积浓度为99.5%的无水乙酸(冰醋酸),沙浴加热60~80 ℃,反应5~7 d,直至瓶底出现较多细粉状物为止;最后用双层筛洗法冲洗岩样,即上层筛孔径为2 mm(10目),下层筛孔径为0.097 mm(160目).冲洗后的砂样在烘箱中烘干,最后在体视显微镜下挑选介形类壳体.
本次处理出介形类壳体45枚左右,其中保存良好的整壳(双瓣壳)约30枚,另有部分重结晶的壳体内模及保存较差的单瓣壳体.该剖面的介形类产出主要集中于第5层,共处理出整壳和单瓣壳30余枚;第3层和第4层有少量产出,但个体小、保存情况较差.经鉴定,该剖面产出介形类9属12种(包括1新种):Cavellina sublatiovata, C.cf.obesa, C.sp., Glyptopleura sp., Healdianella renalata, H.sp., Bairdiocypris vafra, Bairdia sp., Rectobairdia sp., Fabalicypris sp., Youngiella calvata, Coelonella xizhunensis sp.nov.(图 3).
2.2 系统古生物学描述
本文主要采用 Moore(1961) 系统分类方案,同时参照 Lethiers and Feist(1991) 和 Becker(1999) 的分类方法,壳体度量中采用省略符号:L=壳长;H=壳高;W=壳厚.所有标本均保存于中国地质大学(武汉)地球科学学院地球生物系.

比较:当前标本就其外形特征而言,与广西象州中泥盆统四排组的Cavellina obesa Wang的标本相似.由于标本数量少,保存欠佳,故暂与其比较.

描述:壳体中等,侧视卵形.背边微拱;腹边近直,中部内凹.后端圆,前端窄圆.壳体近中部最高,体中线最长.背视,近透镜形或楔形,中部偏后最厚.右壳大,叠覆左壳,前端及中到前背端叠覆宽,在后端叠覆窄,在背边后1/3处无明显叠覆.在体中线偏下方和中部偏前有一明显凹陷区,呈槽状延伸至腹部内凹处,其余壳面光滑.

比较:该新种与产自四川甘溪下泥盆统甘溪组的Rectobairdia leguminella(卫民等,1983)相比,除壳体较小、腹边更平直、前端上部斜切角度稍大外,其余特征一致.有可能是该属的一新种,但由于标本数量较少,且保存情况欠佳,暂定为未定种.

描述:壳体较小,侧视长肾形.背边直,微向外弯;腹边平直,中后部微内凹.前端宽圆,后端窄圆.壳体中部偏后最高,体中线最长.背视,壳体两侧凸起较小,呈纺锤形.左壳大,叠覆右壳.壳面光滑.

比较:该标本与产自湖南锡矿山上泥盆统锡矿山组的Fabalicypris sp.(王尚启和马学平,2007)相比,除壳体稍小、前背部稍凸出外,其余特征一致,因标本较少,暂定为该属的未定种.
产地层位:新疆西准噶尔,上泥盆统-下石炭统洪古勒楞组.
3. 介形类组合特征及时代讨论
俄姆哈剖面洪古勒楞组产出的介形类属种较丰富,以Cavellina、Youngiella属及Bairdiidae科为主,既有从泥盆纪延续至早石炭世的分子,也有典型的石炭纪属种.如Cavellina sublatiovata首现于湘中上泥盆统上段,并上延至石炭系(张金鉴,1986);Cavellina obesa见于广西中泥盆统艾菲尔阶(王尚启,1983);Bairdiocypris vafra产出于云南宁蒗下泥盆统(王尚启和曹美珍,1997)等.Youngiella和Healdianella则是早石炭世常见属.Youngiella作为石炭系的标志性分子,其中已被报道的属种常出现于北美、欧洲、澳大利亚等地的石炭系和二叠系,在该剖面产出的Youngiella calvata,见于加拿大阿尔伯塔地区下石炭统(Green, 1963)、波兰圣十字山下石炭统杜内阶的底部(Olempsk, 1997)及法国北部Avesnois泥盆系-石炭系界线附近(Caiser and Préat,2003),是典型的早石炭世分子;Healdianella renalata产自甘肃靖远下石炭统臭牛沟组(李祖望,1987).
从上述介形类属种分布可以看出,俄姆哈剖面洪古勒楞组所含的介形类化石群,不仅有产于泥盆纪的属种,同时也有首现或繁盛于石炭纪的分子,所表现的生物组合面貌具有泥盆纪-石炭纪过渡时期的色彩.
由于本次工作尚未在第2层发现介形类,所以利用介形类对俄姆哈剖面泥盆系-石炭系界线的划定还不十分肯定.但从第3层开始,典型的早石炭世分子Youngiella已经出现,参照其他共生门类化石的证据,如牙形刺(许汉奎等,1990)、腕足类(宗普等,2012)等,笔者能确定至少从第3层开始,该剖面已经进入下石炭统杜内阶.由此,也进一步证明,洪古勒楞组的时代应该是晚泥盆世-早石炭世.
4. 古地理与古生态意义
在我国,西准噶尔地区的上述介形类广泛分布于广西、贵州、云南、甘肃等地(王尚启和施从广,1982;卫民等,1983;李祖望,1987).而西准噶尔地区属一级的介形类化石组合与北美、欧洲以及乌拉尔地区上泥盆统-下石炭统的介形类群较为相似(Green, 1963;Olempsk, 1997; Caiser and Préat,2003).这进一步说明新疆西准噶尔地区在早石炭世早期可能与俄罗斯、北美、欧洲地区在地理位置上比较接近(引自http://www.scotese.com),有利于它们的底栖生物群落之间的扩散和交流.
介形类对生活环境敏感,集群分布受控于海水盐度、温度、深度、底质、水动力等因素,故其“指相”意义重大(王尚启,1988),介形类古环境和古生态的研究工作受到国内外研究者的普遍重视(王尚启,1988;Casier and Préat, 2003, 2006, 2007;Casier,2004;Casier et al., 2005, 2006;Racheboeuf et al., 2012;Maillet et al., 2013).王尚启(1988)根据华南晚古生代(以泥盆纪为主)介形类的生态环境特征,将介形类划分为5种集群:豆石介类集群(leperditiid association)、古足目类集群(palaeocopid association)、光滑速足目集群(smooth-podocopid association)、刺状速足目类集群(spinose-podocopid association)和恩托莫介类集群(足虫介类集群)(entomozoacean association).
俄姆哈剖面产出的介形类以卡味尔介类和土菱介类为主,二者的丰度和分异度基本相同.卡味尔介类壳体比较坚实,适合在高能地带营底栖生活.根据王尚启(1988)的介形类集群划分方案,卡味尔介是古足目类集群的典型分子,一般代表近岸、浅水环境.而土菱介类,通常背边拱、腹边内凹,背、腹部较薄,大致呈流线型外形且壳面光滑,适合营底栖游泳生活,是光滑速足目集群的主要分子,一般代表远岸、浅水环境.所以,从俄姆哈剖面介形类的产出情况来看,该研究区的介形类可能属于近岸古足目类集群组合与远岸浅水光滑速足目类集群组合之间的过渡或混生类型,其生态位置可能在近岸和远岸浅海区之间.同时,在俄姆哈剖面上有火山碎屑岩产出,区域构造背景及沉积证据表明,该区应为岛弧环境.综上,笔者认为俄姆哈剖面的沉积环境是火山岛弧区在火山间歇期的近岸浅水沉积.
5. 结论与意义
(1) 笔者首次对西准噶尔地区晚泥盆世-早石炭世地层中的介形类进行专题研究,共鉴定出介形类9属12种(包括1新种),这也是研究区内古生代介形类的首次系统报道,丰富了西准噶尔地区的古生物地层材料,为地层的划分对比以及古生态和古环境的重建提供了新依据.
(2) 俄姆哈剖面介形类所表现的组合面貌具有泥盆纪-石炭纪过渡时期的色彩.该剖面第3层已经进入石炭系杜内阶,洪古勒楞组的地质时代应该是晚泥盆世-早石炭世.由此,其为研究区内一直有争议的地质时代及岩石地层划分提供了新的证据.
(3) 通过对介形类的古地理分布研究,笔者支持晚泥盆世-早石炭世新疆西准噶尔地区可能与俄罗斯、北美以及欧洲板块在地理位置上比较接近的观点.通过对介形类的生态分析,笔者认为该剖面介形类属于近岸古足目类集群组合与远岸浅水光滑速足目类集群组合之间的过渡或混生类型,所代表的环境是火山岛弧区在火山间歇期的近岸浅水沉积,其对恢复研究区的古地理和古环境有重要意义.

Etymology : Xizhun,the fossil locality.
Types-Holotype : Carapace. 2014017. L=0.49 mm; H=0.30 mm; W=0.23 mm.
Paratype : Carapace. 2014032. L=0.47 mm; H=0.28 mm; W=0.19 mm.
Diagnosis : A very small species of the genus Coelonella, characterized by the symmetry in the upper and lower parts of the mid-height.
Description : Carapace small, almost hexagonal in lateral outline. Dorsal margin straight, about 2/3 of the maximum length; ventral margin straight, nearly equal to dorsal margin in length. Cardinal angles obtuse. Carapace relatively convex in the dorsal view, with the greatest width near the centre; right valve slightly larger and overlapping left one. Surface smooth.
Remarks : Coelonella xizhunensis sp. nov. resembles Coelonella?sp.(Casier et al., 2000) from the Frasnian-Famennian boundary of the Holy Cross Mountains in Poland, but differs with the latter in being regular hexagonal shape in lateral outline.
